The Propagander ™ FAQ
Was Hitler 'Normal' Sexually?
There is a persistent rumor that Hitler was missing a testicle, but there is no proof that this was the case. Hitler had the proper number, as all the doctors who examined him testified (though they also testified that he was always extremely reluctant to disrobe). At least five doctors, including Morell, his personal physician in his last days in the Bunker, have testified that he had two. In Waite's The Pathological God, he says that Hitler 'may' have lost a testicle to a goat that bit it off, was born without one, or lost one in the war. All nonsense. His wound in the war was in his arm, the big one hanging from his shoulder. Waite was making things up and could not even settle on one testicular fantasy, but propagated three. He sold books that way.
Yes, I know, the truth is not nearly as fun as the conspiracy. There are those who claim that Hitler was not quite normal, thereby absolving us `normal' humans from guilt. Among these are that Hitler was homosexual, lacked the proper number of testicles, loved to indulge in `Golden Showers,' was infected with syphilis, etc.. None of these explanations are accompanied by any proof and are all easily dismissed by contrary evidence. This does not stop people from repeating them, however. Again, such illogical and spurious explanation should be dismissed and ignored. Proof is essential and the millions of dead deserve no less than solid evidence.
A related question is; did Hitler ever actually have sex.
While this would seem to be a silly question, it is not. Volumes of Hitler explanation have been written by psychologist-historians on the theory that Hitler was not 'normal' sexually. The theories run the gamut, from homosexuality (falsely believed by some to be an aberrational) to penile abnormality. There is no actual evidence for any of them.
Sure, he had a long-time mistress whom he married at the very end, but the actual evidence that the two ever consummated a sexual relationship is totally lacking. In fact, the testimony of some of Hitler's housekeepers even suggest that the sheets from their bed never displayed any signs of passion-derived use. The kiss-and-tell books from the few woman Hitler dated suggest some variety or another of dysfunction, while the vast majority of his relations with woman are documented to have been purely platonic, though infused with a near-adolescent romanticism.
My best guess is that he did indeed have sex with Eva, who wrote in her diary:
March 11, 1935 Eva Braun's Diary:
There is only one thing I want. I would like to be seriously ill, and to hear nothing more about him for at least a week. Why doesn't something happen to me? Why do I have to go through all this? If only I had never set eyes on him! I am utterly miserable. I shall go out and buy some more sleeping powder and go into a half-dreamlike state, and then I won't think about it so much. Why doesn't that Devil take me with him? It would be much better with him than it is here. I waited for three hours in front of the Carlton, and had to watch him buying flowers for Ondra and inviting her to dinner. (That was just my mad imagination. March 16th.) He only needs me for certain purposes, otherwise it is not possible. This is idiocy. When he says he loves me, it only means he loves me at that particular instant. Like his promises, which he never keeps. Why does he torment me like this, when he could finish it off at once?
It is anyone's guess what Eva meant by "He only needs me for certain purposes." What those "purposes" were is uncertain, but one can reasonably presume that sex was involved. Still, it is a mystery that could explain a lot, or nothing at all. I doubt that there is one Hitler biographer that would not desire a definitive answer to this question, regardless of its prurient nature. Unfortunately, the answer to this question was destroyed along with Eva and Adolf and is lost forever.
Conclusion: Was Hitler 'Normal' Sexually? Lacking any documented evidence to the contrary, one should assume that he was normal enough.
